EMILY PEPPER
SENIOR OSTEOPATH & PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Bachelor Science (Clinical), Master Health Science (Osteopathy), Diploma Pilates (Polestar).
Emily graduated from Victoria University in Melbourne with a Masters of Osteopathy in 2009. She spent seven years practising in Melbourne before making the move to the Northern Rivers in 2015, drawn by the lifestyle and strong sense of community the region offers.
Over the course of her career, Emily has worked in a variety of clinical environments, developing a broad and comprehensive approach to Osteopathic care. She has a particular passion for preventative healthcare and enjoys working with people of all ages and stages of life. Her areas of interest include the treatment of babies and children, older adults, as well as a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Emily's background in ballet and dance has given her a strong understanding of movement, posture and body mechanics. She has also worked as a Clinical Pilates instructor for many years, incorporating her knowledge of movement and exercise into her approach to patient care.
Emily has lectured in Visceral Osteopathy at Southern Cross University, where she developed a particular interest in the relationship between the body's internal organs and the musculoskeletal system. Her approach considers the body as an interconnected whole, with a focus on supporting optimal movement and function through the treatment of the organs, surrounding tissues and ligaments.
After taking time away from clinical practice to raise her four children, Emily is excited to return to Osteopathy and reconnect with patients and the profession she is passionate about. She takes a patient-centred approach to care, with a focus on understanding the individual and working collaboratively to support their health, movement and wellbeing.
